Shuqing Ding is a licensed acupuncturist and board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) now in the United States.
Dr. Ding worked as an integrated consultant colorectal surgeon in the National Center and Pelvic Floor Unit of Nanjing Municipal Hospital of Chinese Medicine, which is one of the affiliated hospitals of the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in China. In 2008 and 2014, Dr. Ding also worked as a researcher at the Pelvic Floor Center in Minnesota and the Digestive Research Institute in Cleveland Clinic for 2 years.
Dr. Ding has published more than 100 papers and authored five books and 10 patents in China.
Dr. Ding was born in the 10th generation family of Chinese medicine. With her family and university Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) training background, Dr. Ding integrated biofeedback therapy in pelvic floor disorders and in 2008 became the first person in China to be board-certified from Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. Then, as a research leader of lower digestive tract diseases and pelvic floor diseases, he cooperated with European Biofeedback Foundation in research and education projects.
Dr. Ding is currently the Secretary-General and Vice-Chairman of the Pelvic Floor Medical Committee of the World Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Vice-President of Colorectal Branch of Chinese Women Medical Doctor Association, and a member of the Pelvic Floor Multidisciplinary Committee of the American Society of Colorectal Surgery.
Her goal is to break the "glass door" that is blocking the global acceptance of biofeedback, traditional Chinese Medicine, and Acupuncture to help people suffering from health issues related to pelvic floor conditions.
Dr. Ding has been engaged in remote second opinion for over seven years and has helped patients in the United States and China.
Dr. Ding also shared rich clinical and research experience through webinars, and trained the multidisciplinary team of pelvic floor diseases.
Dr. Ding is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
